Congratulations to Hamish Blair (Team Prodigy Europe) for winning the top prize at Loch Tay. Steady aggressive play was the edge for Hamish as he closed a 7 stroke gap over the last nine holes, impressive indeed.
The second weekend of the 'Northern Flights Tour' did not disappoint as 31 players from all over the UK (and Sweden) descended upon Highland Lodges at Loch Tay to test the new course. The weekend weather was Scottish tropical as bands of rain and snow repeatedly swept in mixed with just enough warm sun by the end of the day to bring a smile to most faces. Each round of disc golf was played through the stunning resort at Highland Lodges with Loch Tay in clear sight as we traversed the 2 kilometer course through the surrounding fields and finely manicured fairways. All of this on the back of four rounds of disc golf at the Scottish Open on the Isle of Mull the previous weekend.
It was quite a treat to be able to park the car for the weekend and step out your front door and play disc golf on this new course. Many last minute preparations, on site catering and attention to detail make this course one to watch for 2016.
The disc golf course has a very bright future at Highland Lodges, I can foresee The Quaich and Bdga Tours meeting here once a year for many years to come.
Thank You to ALL! See you in 2016
