Quaich Tour Announcement
Seppo Paju announces Quaich Tour a priority in 2016
In a surprise announcement #1 Sponsored Prodigy Europe Disc Golfer and reigning European Champion Seppo Paju has announced the Quaich Tour is a top priority in 2016.
“We are very excited to host the Champion from Finland as part of our Tour, Mr. Paju delivers a great deal of wisdom to our events which will help us grow” said Tour manager Seamus Scanlon "and we know he is excited too."
The Quaich Tour is a 13 event grass roots disc golf series that runs from February through October at 9 different venues across Scotland. Prodigy Europe has played a major role in sponsoring these events.
When asked about returning to Scotland to play disc golf “Scotland is a beautiful place, most of my flights from the real tournaments in the US & Europe connect through Edinburgh anyway so I thought why not do some charity work, I wouldn't call this tour a priority” Said Seppo, adding “I’m not sure how Seamus even knew I’d be in the country?”
Seppo will be joined by two Prodigy teammates while he is on tour; Seppo said “I’m really looking forward to playing alongside my teammates” We caught up with Prodigy Europe sponsored Seonaidh C. and Hamish B., who both hail from Edinburgh (via Ullapool) and play disc golf professionally, what they thought about the announcement. “Yea, lonnsaich an liuthad leis an fheadhainn as fhearr” said Seonaidh, which roughly translates "aye" in Scots Gaelic. We asked Hamish what he wanted most in regards to competing against his teammates in the Tour “Flat payouts!” he said.
The first stop on our Quaich Tour will see the return of the prestigious Bankfoot course in Perthshire. When told of the announcement “pure dead brilliant” said Tournament Director Trevor B.
Stay tuned to our media coverage as the top disc golfers battle for the prestigious Quaich in 2016. Because disc golf is serious stuff :)
